Hello dear readers! How was everyone’s weekend? My Saturday morning was spent face painting for some precious kids at a local school. My church was having an outreach giving these kids much needed school supplies, with free food, and games. It was so much fun, and it gave me a lot of joy to see [...]
Here is my wish for you…
Have a happy weekend! Laugh, play, and enjoy life. See you all next week!
(This is me and the joy of my heart, my baby at 9 months old.)
Last week I worked on these handmade baby gifts for a friend of mine and wanted to share the results. I’ve been saving this amazing vintage fabric for something special, and this was the perfect occasion.
The onesies are appliqued with a heart and a “P” initial, and I also made a little stuffed butterfly.
I hope [...]
I couldn’t resist posting these adorable vintage clothing pieces by Belle Heir. They are really old…from the 1920’s and 40’s. I would totally wear these if they were larger!
I recently designed these invitations for a friend of mine that is welcoming a baby girl this fall. I love everything girly, maybe one day I’ll have one of my own. For now, I’m happy buying/making for others!

Here is a little project I did over the weekend. I was inspired by an infomercial advertising a DVD set that could teach your baby to read (yes, I got sucked in). Instead of paying $200 for the videos, I just decided to copy what they had done. Using objects that were familiar around my [...]
I experimented with using some cereal boxes to create this cute bear with movable arms and legs. I’ve been wanting to create a project with cardboard ever since I saw this post on design sponge. So, I put together this bear pattern for you to try too! Just download this PDF and cut out the [...]
Part of my husband’s Father’s Day present was this handmade onesie which Eli wore throughout the day. I drew the letters freehand onto scrap fabric, then cut, pinned and sewed them on to a plain white onesie. I really love how it turned out, and so did Kent.
What did you all do for your husbands/fathers?
I hope you all have a great Father’s Day and enjoy special time with your dads. Here is my little man helping me wish his daddy a Happy Father’s Day. It was tough to get him to cooperate holding 15 letters and not demolishing them before I got a good photo. He did pretty well [...]
These family photos by Candice Stringham caught my eye at Black Eiffel this morning. I love all the kids’ colorful clothing and the candid, laid-back nature of the shots. Kind of makes me want to have my own caboodle of kids just so we can do something similar.
