Mission: Advent Calendar

I would love to make an advent calendar by the time next Christmas rolls around. My baby will be two by then, and old enough to enjoy it. So, I’ve been on a search looking out for what I like! I really love the idea of having a special surprise, message, task, or bible reading for each day.

Hello wonderful readers! I’m excited about sponsoring an online holiday exposition right here on evie s. This will be a fun little collaboration to celebrate the holiday, and see some great work and products.

Who can participate: Any artist, etsy seller, independant seller, crafter, or photographer.

What you can submit: A product, a photograph, artwork, DIY project or craft…pretty much anything as long as it has a holiday or winter theme!

When to email it by: Please email your submissions by Sunday, December 13th. I will be posting the expo on the following Monday.

Why I Love Autumn

Summer is my favorite season. Fall is a close second. Our days get shorter, the scarves come out, and oh, the beautiful dark rich colors! It makes me want to run to the store for some cocoa, but it’s still 80 degrees in my office. Oh well, I know the cool temps will come soon enough. I Heart Dad Handmade Onesie

Part of my husband’s Father’s Day present was this handmade onesie which Eli wore throughout the day. I drew the letters freehand onto scrap fabric, then cut, pinned and sewed them on to a plain white onesie. I really love how it turned out, and so did Kent.

I hope you all have a great Father’s Day and enjoy special time with your dads. Here is my little man helping me wish his daddy a Happy Father’s Day. It was tough to get him to cooperate holding 15 letters and not demolishing them before I got a good photo. He did pretty well though!
