Quite possibly the most beautifully designed menu I’ve ever seen. Clean, simple, great details…by New York designer Rebecca Alden.

These are just a few poster designs that have caught my eye lately. The works range from the highly detailed, to the simple beauty of color and shape. Enjoy!

Shaz Madani, a London-based artist originally caught my eye with his Your Journey Made Simple poster, and I went on to discover more of his great work. I love these Taste the Seasons re-usable shopping bags that he created for Sainsbury to highlight the importance of eating seasonal food.

This campaign that he created for Arctic Paper, upon closer look, uses paper to build dimensional artscapes to promote their brand. Love it!

The upside of the American dollar these days is that it is finally getting a little more colorful. I love these new Swiss banknotes designed by Zurich-based graphic designer, Manuela Pfrunder.

It would also be really nice to have more selection when it comes to U.S. stamps. These Eliezer Weishoff designs from the 1975 Israel Environment stamp collection are just beautiful. They were created to depict three major environmental concerns – Air, Water, and Noise pollution.

I thought this was so clever, I just had to post about it. The Phonofone II takes its design cues from the past. This speaker amps the volume of your favorite music with the shape of an old-fashioned gramophone using your iPod.
From designer Tristan Zimmermann of Science and Sons, this is one cool gadget, and nice to look at.

Following my last posts on packaging and business card inspiration, here are some more great ideas in those categories.

Great packaging aesthetic is becoming more and more common these days. And it doesn’t always belong to the power brands–a lot of new kids on the block are starting strong with an enticing look. Here are some of my fav finds from TheDieline.com, the leading packaging design blog.

I love these photos of an experiential environment built by Formavision, a company that develops original art campaigns that capture one’s imagination and reinforces the brand’s vision. This particular installation was for cutting edge fashion designer duo, Marithe and Francois Girbaud. Part of the construkt series, their goal was to create limited edition design objects created by some of today’s best product designers and exclusively offered for sale at their New York flagship store in Soho.

It’s really something when you can take a great thing and make it better. Take these already classy products — the ever-popular Moleskine and the ultimate cool computer, the MacBook. They’ve been vamped up a notch (or two or three) with beautiful laser engravings. These designs are from engrave, where you can order online and they can even etch your own customized artwork.
