I love beauty. I love creating beautiful things. I’m passionate about creating beauty with a purpose, and I’m using my blog to help me find that purpose. I created A Beautiful Idea in 2010 to give artists a chance to create what they love to help others.

On this blog you’ll find lots of inspiration, DIY projects, art, and my own personal musings about life, motherhood, and being an artist.

I moonlight as a graphic/web designer for my husband and I’s company, Create Etc.

By day, I’m a mother of two sweet little boys, 2.5 and 1 year old. I try to devote all my day to nurturing, teaching and raising them.

    Wonderful blog! I’ve just discovered it via a post on FB that lead to another and another, and I finally landed on your posts. Thanks for sharing your creativity. My daughter is an artist who maintains a great blog with quite a following, so I know how challenging it can be to keep your readers interested. (Her name is Judi, BTW, and her blog is called Approachable Art. Take a look if you have a minute.) Good luck and keep up the amazing work.

    I came across your blog by sheer accident. I love your DIY tutorials and your blog in general….. Then I stumbled upon your ~Faith~ section. I gotta say your blog is a gem. Not only do you create beautiful things and show the rest of us how to do so as well, but you’re also unafraid to share your faith with us too. Thank you. I think I found your blog at the right time in my life. I never reach out to bloggers (guilty of shyness) but I just wanted you to know that.
