At this point in my life, I would give up most anything to do what I am passionate about. It hasn’t always been the case for me as I’ve journeyed through the traps of consumerism, comparison, and a load of insecurities.
I recently met a lady that has embarked on her own journey of giving up what’s comfortable to do what she loves.
Coni is a graphic designer living in Barcelona. After working with diverse designers for many years she started her own journey creating and printing her own designs. Each print is completely handmade and screenprinted herself – it’s the type of work that makes your hands hurt…yet yields alot of joy.

I recently asked Coni to describe in a sentence or two what it means to her to do what you love. Her was her answer:
Doing what you love is not always easy. It’s a lifestyle choice, and as in every election, you must win and lose something, but it’s really satisfying if you finally do it. And there’s always the possibility to “love what you do”… (if you can’t do what you love).

Coni is generously giving away to one lucky reader a copy of her “Do What You Love / Love What You Do” print.
To enter: Just leave a comment below describing what it is you most love to do – and I hope this inspires you a bit to do it (if you aren’t already). A winner will be picked randomly one week from today, September 26th. Good luck!

I love this! I haven’t figured out what it is I want to do yet, what I love. But I know RBB knows, and I encourage him daily to follow his heart. This would be perfect for him.
actually, what i love to do is…screenprinting.
i’m about to launch my company of textile design and that would be the best motivation to put in my work place !!
I love to travel and try new things!
I love to do the simple things in life: read, eat and love.
I love to crochet — I think I’ll finish up my circle scarf project now :)
I do what I love every day – I get up at 6:15 (which is maybe the only thing I don’t really love…) and go to work to teach 21 third graders about life, the solar system, numbers, and how to read. I am so thankful that I have a job that I really do love, and I love it because it’s a job that allows me the freedom to be creative and easy going, even if I do have to follow state-mandated rules and tests. Plus, kids are the best co-workers, even if they do sometimes tattle or throw up on your feet! :)
Thanks for the chance to win! If I do win, I’ll definitely hang this in my classroom as a reminder for both me and my students to do just that.
i love to sew! i have been teaching myself how over the last two years and it’s a wonderful creative outlet. fingers crossed!
Spend time with my children each day.
Treasure hunting
I love creating things and photography. Luckily I’ve been able to do both of these no matter the season of life. In school, teaching and now staying at home with my son the Lord has provided photography jobs to help supplement our income but more importantly to fulfill that desire to do what I love! Recently I’ve learned knew techniques in sewing and it has been very exciting; I’m trying to not let my skills stand in the way of what I want to accomplish! I’ve even amazed myself :)
I love to throw themed parties!
I haven’t quite found my niche, but whatever it is… I must create. Photography seems to be calling me the most lately, but I’ve also designed some fabulous cabinetry spaces in my former (pre-economic bust) career as a kitchen/bath designer. Doing that on my own someday is also an option, but not in this climate. Who knows what’s next? Life is like that.
I love to spend time with my husband… whether it’s 10 minutes or 10 hours. He is in the military and is not home often. So, I take advantage of every second I can with him. It doesn’t matter what we do… it could just be sitting next to each other.
love this! and am thrilled that ashley ann @ under the sycamore shared your blog this morning. great find! i love laughing. i am married to my best friend and we have so much fun together. i am so thankful i have someone that i can be completely myself w/ … even accepting me when being myself means attempting “the snake” across the living room floor.
I love so many things, but I suppose that’s why I feel like I’m not exceptional at any one thing. I love: hanging out with my husband, designing when I feel motivated, stimulated, and creative, I love encouraging people to pursue something creative, I love thoughtful and kind gestures, especially surprises and I love having an artistic gift (even if it’s not profitable!). Thanks for this awesome giveaway!
I love to meet new people. I do it every day with my job (PR) and in my social life. I just love making new friends, meeting all kinds of people with all kinds of backgrounds, and enjoying all types of friendships.
The simplest things are what I love. I have found the taking care of my husband and the house we live in brings me the most joy!
I love to scrapbook and sew !!!!
the frame is so beautiful thanks for the chance.
Right now, I’m really trying to figure out that question. I love so many things, but the one coming to the front right now is all things food related. I love to eat, cook, and read about food!
I have figure it out what I love to do. But my problem is that at this point in my life i need money in order to in the future start working full time in what I love. I´m a graphic designer that loves handmade products, not advertising or publicity. It´s been a long journey to realize that I´m really good making pillows, choosing fabrics, making bows for kids, my list can keep going. Actually i´m thinking about quitting my job but it´s a hard decision because yo see people without a job and it´s just hard.
Thanks for this post, makes me think that what i do, it can become a success.
anything creative. showing kindness.
i love designing… for myself, for others, for fun or for work, either way i look at it this would probably be one of my favorite things to do. if i could freelance and be my own boss this would be even more of a plus, maybe some day ;)
I love being a stay at home mom to my 3 kids. It takes a lot of creativity. Creating meals, taking pictures, thinking of ways to spend the day and creatively breaking up fights and finding patience. I love it all.
This is beautiful!
So, i love to sew, i love to paint and i love to create mini albums for my 2 boys.
I love to explore — foods, places, textures, people, activities. And I love to see the results of my children’s imagination.
I love my teckel dog Winnie muuuuak
