DIY Lace Earrings

Hi all, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I’m recovering from a sleepless night…my son’s first fever EVER kept us all up most of the night last night. So a nap may be in order later today! For now, I have a quick and easy project to share with you!

These are super cute and so easy to make. You need: 2 plain medium sized buttons, lace, earring studs (found at any craft store), and a glue gun.

Start by cutting a piece of lace larger than your button. Then start folding the fabric around the button, sort of wrapping it around like you are wrapping a present and gluing as you go.

Once finished, you can hot glue your earring stud on the back. That’s it! I told you it was easy.

If you don’t want to make your own, I’ve got them in my shop. Happy Monday!

Live With Purpose

This is the phrase I was thinking about yesterday while my baby napped and I painted. “Live With Purpose.” I don’t usually incorporate sayings or text in my art, but I decided on a whim to go ahead and scrawl this phrase with the artwork.

This season of my life right now is so different from the rest. I’m so happy, content, and full of purpose. It’s getting easier to purposefully make a decision to love and find joy in everything I do. Maybe that’s because I’ve simplified my life so much and cut out the excess that wasn’t necessary.

So this is my mantra right now, and I don’t want to lose it.

How are you living your life with purpose today?

Backyard Picnics, Exploring & Strawberries

I’m loving reading all your comments on your favorite things about Spring. Thank you to everyone who is sharing!

Today my son and I enjoyed the beautiful sun and a picnic lunch in our backyard. We ate our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fresh strawberries and raspberries, and soaked in the warmth of the sun.

For me, it’s so much easier to be creative in my time with Eli when it’s warm. There’s park outings, strolls around the neighborhood, sidewalk chalk, chasing bugs, and exploring all the life that the season brings. Much better than being cooped up in a house on a cold day!

So if the weather is nice and sunny where you are, go out and have a backyard picnic or find some other way to enjoy the season. It won’t last forever!

Have a great weekend everyone!
