So I got these great clip-on earrings at an estate sale recently for 50 cents and I thought it would be fun to think up some new ways to wear them. There are probably more ways, but I thought 8 would be a nice round number to start things off.

1. Clip it on a skinny scarf! This one I made out of scraps from this t-shirt DIY project.
2. As a ring, you can clip it underneath a simple band.
3. Clip it on your collar for a statement.
4. On a clutch or purse. This one had lacy detail, and it was really easy to just clip it one of the holes.

5. As earrings of course!
6. Clip it on the center of a fabric belt. I made this tube belt out of some fabric I had on hand.
7. In your hair clipped under a pony tail holder.
8. On your wrist. I “made” this little fabric bracelet by simply cutting off the bottom sleeve of a vintage blouse. I just clipped the earring in the button hole.

That’s it! This was fun. What are some other ways you can think to wear a clip on earring? Hope you all are having a great Labor Day!

What a fun post, Evie! I didn’t have my ears pierced until I was 27, so I have worn lots of clip-on earrings in my day.
I would have never thought about displaying them this way, though. Thanks for the inspiration!

What wonderful ideas. I am not a creative person at all and I always pass these over in vintage stores and estate sales. Guess who is going shopping for clip-ons! Thank you for this.

I love these! My stepfather just brought home boxes and boxes of clip on earrings that his mother was giving away. I love them, but didn’t know how to use ‘em! I’ll have to try some of these ideas. Also, was thinking they could be clipped in your hair instead of a bobby pin or barrette.

I forgot to add that I’ve also seen them clipped on flats to add some sparkle!
