Last year for my 20th, my dad and brother went with me to a smaller concert. The drummer of one of the bands (who we knew) had seen it was my birthday on Facebook, and gave me a birthday shout out from stage.
Hope your birthday is wonderful, Evie!
Happy Birthday!
My birthday is the the day after valentines day – so my favorite birthday memory is that my boyfriend (now husband), took me out on a date for valentines day and before he dropped me off at home, he pulled a cupcake out of the trunk with a candle. It was just sweet how he was able to keep that secret the whole date night.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
My best memory is when I was 16. My mom told me she had a present for me but I had to go to my room first. Like a typical 16 yr old I did not want too, but she MADE ME! Once I was in there the phone rang and I yelled I would get it.
It was my mom, “Happy Birthday, I got you your own phone line!”
It was a happy day. : )
Have a great birthday!
Natasha
Happy Birthday! My wife’s is tomorrow (-:
My best birthday memory is when I was only about 10 and had a party with my closest friends. I remember one card that I had gotten from my crush. In it she told me that she loved me! I could just feel my cheeks filling with blood and redness as I blushed, and had a grin that I tried to make sure didn’t get too large (because of being a fledgling man and everything, lol). Isn’t puppy love so cute?!

Happy Birthday to you!!
My most favorite birthday was my 21st. It was full of lots of friends and lots of jello shots, lovingly made by my roommates, and one of the campus bands played in our dining room. As a college kid, that combo was all I wanted. At midnight everyone gathered around counted down to my special day like it was New Years Eve, and I’ve never felt more special on my birthday.
One of my favorite Birthdays wasn’t mine, but for my daughter’s 14th Birthday. My friend’s mother let us use her cabin in the mountains for a weekend. About 3 weeks before her birthday I emailed all of her friends to email a small letter or Bible verse and a picture of themselves. My daughter and I spent the weekend scrap booking all the beautiful messages and pictures. We took long walks and ate yummy junk food! It was GREAT!
Driving 12 hours from San Antonio to Memphis overnight after we (Memphis Tigers) lost the National Championship basketball game at a last-second shot. Then i worked a half-day.
My favorite birthday was my 5th. My aunt made a huge cabbage patch girl cake and I got my first barbie that day. Ten 5 year old girls running and screaming- we played games: fan the feather race, made pop-bead necklaces, drove my older brother (the only boy there) crazy. I always thought back to that bday party growing up and how much I loved it.
Of course, now- I think of my kids birthdays- and hopefully, they will have lasting memories of feeling as special as my 5th birthday party made me feel.
Beautiful headband, by the way!! So cute!
First off…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Next..
My Favorite Birthday memory will have to be of the grand ol’ sweet sixteen. My birthday is in January and I was awakened by a phone call from my grandmother telling me that it was a snow day!! Well to be perfectly honest… I lived in Middle Tennessee at the time and there wasn’t any snow…it was just really cold; however, school was still canceled. Then my mother took me to go buy a nice outfit because she had a surprise for me. After finding the perfect skirt and top, she revealed to me four tickets to see a play in downtown Nashville and I could take any two of my friends. It was one of the best days of my life and completely magical in that it was the first time I had ever seen a major theatrical production and I fell in love. I have been in numerous plays since and contribute a lot of my passion for from my sheer happiness on my sixteenth birthday.
Anyway that was my favorite birthday memory.
Congrats on being on Style Me Pretty!!
<3 Kayla
What a great idea. Hope you had an awesome birthday.
My favorite birthday memory was the end of my junior year in college. Everyone was finishing up finals and getting ready to head into the summer. I asked my parents if they could cook some Hawaiian food for a birthday luau party and I invited my friends. It ended up being a beautiful evening, with great food & lots of fun, providing the perfect ending to the school year and lovely 21st birthday celebration with 21 of my closest friends.
My favorite birthday memory was on my 18th. I was away at college without my family but my sweet sweet boyfriend surprised me with a treasure hunt around the school. There was a big basket of candy at the end, along with a sunset picnic dinner on the beach. :) I couldn’t have come up with anything more special!
Happy belated birthday to you! I hope you had an absolute wonderful day! :]
My favorite birthday memory is actually from this year when I turned 21. Since my birthday was on a very busy day for my family’s business I had to work the whole day, which i didn’t really mind since I had celebrated my birthday the previous day exactly how I wanted to with my boyfriend and lovely friends at my favorite restaurant. Anyways, before I got to work my parent’s secretary had made a sign saying, “Today is my 21st birthday! Wish me happy birthday! Ps I don’t know this sign is here”, and placed it outside, and out of my line of view at my work station.
A few minutes after I had started a little boy standing with his mom and dad looked up at me and said, “happy birthday”. Slightly stumped as to why this little boy would know it was my birthday that day, I decided to brush it off and figured that he probably heard the lady working next to me asking me about what i did for my birthday dinner a few minutes before. However, that little boy was not the only person to wish me a happy birthday. Person after person kept wishing me happy birthday and after about the tenth person my co-worker finally caved in and told me about the sign outside my window.
As a result of the sign I had about five hundred people or more wish me a very happy 21st birthday, and I was also offered numerous alcoholic drinks by people I had never met.
That day really showed me how kind people really can be, as they could have ignored the idea and not said a thing, but most of them didn’t and because of them I will never forget the birthday where I was wished happy birthday more times then I had ever been in my whole life!
That was long one haha! Hope you enjoyed it!
Happy birthday. :D
Well, on my 17th birthday, none of my friends wished me happy birthday, and I was so sad everyone forgot. Then my family dragged me to shop, they ended up shopping among themselves instead. It was so horrible. Then I got home pretty late, and then I opened the door, it was oddly unlocked, and very dark. Then I saw my best friends lighting the candles of a cake. They had decorated the house with streamers and balloons and they even had goodie bags. I was so surprised and touched, I cried. My parents bought sushi, and they bought pizza, and we just had fun camwhoring and laughing. They really kept this secret for so long. It was the worst and best birthday ever. Oh, and my dad, got me this bouquet of 17 red roses. It was so pretty.
I hope you had a great birthday. :D
Birthdays are sort of a fleeting thing for me, you know getting older makes you wish less and less that people remembered a silly number, but I can definitely pinpoint some birthday hip times!
My twelth birthday was spent watching my parents duke it out over the pinata. They have always been big kids at heart, so they bought an extra pinata for the attending parents to take a whack at, granted most of the time it was they who were doing the swinging. When the pinata finally broke I think the kids were more immersed in the epic battle that my mom and dad made away with most of the sweets!
THAT was a great birthday!
Hope you have an equally as memorable one, I love your blog!
I think my favorite birthday memory would be my 20-year-old roller skating party!
We had a huge group of people come, everyone skated, danced, played the dice game and red-light-green-light!
But the best part was that my “crush” Chris Ensor was there! He skated with me and hadwe some great laughs! (we also video taped it and love to watch it)
Happy Birthday!!!! I had a birthday this month also!
My favorite birthday thus far was my 24th…six days after my first daughter was born. She was the best present ever and I was just so filled with joy!
Last year I had an awesome great birthday. I planned out a week of things to do and all my friends were able to hang out and spend time with me, which is all I really wanted.
thanks for the great giveaway. i hope your birthday is wonderful!
this year my husband surprised me with a ticket to a crafty event… even contact the women who run it and they did a little shout out on their blog.
i am a spoiled girl.
My favorite birthday memory was my 21st. It was very ow key, spent just with my sister and out best friend. It wasn’t the conventional 21st, but spending it with my two best friends made it the best :)
Happy belated birthday! :)
My favorite birthday memory (so far) was my 18th birthday … my best friend threw me a pink themed surprise party. She invited a bunch of our girlfriends, and rented out an entire nail salon. We all got manicures, drank pink champagne and had an awesome time. Best birthday ever!
Oh, and that headband would look awesome in my red curls. ;)

****Happy Belated Birthday****
The best birthday memory I have was when I turned 7… My mom told me weeks before that I could not have a party and that we were just going to have dinner with my family, when I went outside to go to the car a limousine was OUTSIDE!!! Then she handed me a ticket to go see New Kids on the Block (hey, they were my favorite back then ok..lol ) I had an AMAZING night, and every birthday since has been shadowed by this one special night with my Mom <3
i must say….HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
my most favorite birthday memory would have to be my 20th bday. my bestfriend and i (7days apart) were thrown a surprise birthday party and a huge crowd showed up. people we didn’t even know were are friends. they wanted to come and show us a good time. 2 of our friends videotaped the whole entire night and every now and then i watch that tape and realize how much love those people had for us. they just wanted us to have the best night ever…i thank them for that.
my favorite birthday memory would have to be my 5th birthday, my parents where really poor (having four girls) and threw me a birthday a Mc Donalds. I just remember being so excited and feeling so pretty in this pink polka dot dress! I loved that dress! We played in their play house and when the cake came out I remember screaming for JOY because Ronald was holding my birthday cake. I felt so special!
To this day when I drive by that Mc Donalds I get a happy feeling, but I no longer eat there! Sorry Ronald!

My favourite birthday was my 17th birthday. I had a normal party with my friends, but on the day of, the boy I had a crush on invited me over with my best friend. When we showed up, he had planned an entire party for me – complete with a delicious cake and balloons! Friends of mine came and went throughout the night, and I ended up having my best friend over to stay at my house for the night, where we talked about the 12 years we had known each other and watched Shirley Valentine until the wee hours of the morning! It was an amazing birthday.
PS: That headband is so beautiful!
I have to say that my favorite birthday memory was when I was eight. I was hitting the pinata and I broke it open, all of the kids came running towards the candy and surrounded me. I still had the giant stick and didn’t want to drop it for fear of hitting one of the kids. I was frantic from not being able to pick up the candy so I just started crying. I missed out on a lot of candy but I still have the pictures from that moment to this day.
my favourite birthday was my 16th birthday! what a big year, eh! i had all my friends over and we had a great time giggling and gossping about boys and such. i kept talking about this one boy that i had a huge crush on, i really hoped he would show but he never did. then, at the end of the night i heard the door bell ring, and there he was with a stuffed monkey and some pixie sticks, and he said “happy birthday julie, will you be my girlfriend?” and of course i said yes, he was my very first boyfriend and it was the cutest thing. i ran downstairs to the girls hanging in the basement, ready for a sleepover and yelled “i have a boyfriend” oh what a feeling :)
First of all…love your blog.
Second of all…I could never choose a favorite birthday memory because it seems that they are always magical for me.
However…this year has been a great one. On April 7th, 2009 I went on a first date with a cute guy and it turned out to be his birthday. I instantly fell in love with him and since then we have pretty much been attached at the hip. And this friday…we are getting married. :) So even though it was his birthday…I feel like i’m the one who got the greatest gift. :)
My birthday is on New Years Eve. Last year while we were at a New Years Eve party our friend proposed to his girlfriend! It was awesome!
my favorite birthday memory is somewhat annual. every year i wake up, eat a breakfast that someone special in my life (mom, friend, roommate) makes for me and then i open their special gift to me. i love this moment every year..it’s been a little different since i moved away two years ago but i still make my closet hold my mom’s box full of gifts hostage until my special day.
I love the headband!!
My favorite bday memory was a few years ago while I was living in New York. My parents flew up to meet my boyfriend and I and together we drove to the Adirondacks for a long weekend. We rented a house for the weekend and we were staying in a very small village in the Adirondacks. We spent the evening of my birthday driving around looking for a place to eat but everything was closed since it was such a small town. We finally found this restaurant in the middle of nowhere called The Red Fox Inn, and maybe it was because we were so hungry but we laughed about everything at dinner. People eating there must have thought we were on something because we were having such a good time. The whole weekend was so much fun and full of great company, good food, and lots of laughing. We all still talk about that weekend and how The Red Fox Inn seemed to show up out of nowhere but it fed us a wonderful bday dinner!!
My favorite birthday memory is of my sweet 16. I didn’t think I was going to have a party at all but my parents and best friend ended up throwing me a surprise party. They bought a BUNCH of paint and we all went to a park close to my house and had a paint war. The pictures from it are epic. Everyone was covered in bright paint and we all had a great time. After, we walked back to my house where everyone jumped in the pool and turned it black. The paint in my hair ended up staining portions of it green. It was one of my favorite birthdays ever :)
What a precious headband!! Every year is so different, and this year was great!! My husband made me homemade blueberry pancakes for breakfast (he is not a cook) and then followed later that evening with homemade fetticini and cheesecake…I am impressed with him more and more!!
