Cross Stitch and Needlepoint

I love the use of cross stitch and needlepoint in design. Lately, it’s been making it’s way not just on textiles, but on print pieces and other uncommon destinations. Here are some of my favorites:

Faux Cross Stitch Yo-Yo // cross-stitch motif // darling card [ Via Smarts and Crafts ] // We Make Sense poster // Bargello Chevron Pillow //Needlepoint Book Cover

Have a great weekend everybody!

What a wonderful blog you have! I wish so much that I could figure out how to make more things myself for our family. I doubt it would be any work of art…but it such a fantastic skill :) I have problems daily with minor aches and pains…seems like there is always something aching! I do not know if my fingers and hands would be able to keep up with this kind of hobby! I love my Topricin pain cream because it is natural and it works, but still do not know if I could keep up with this! Do you ever have this come up or is it really not an issue? Thanks! Caroline
Thank you Caroline, I appreciate your comment! I pray that I won’t have any pain in my hands in the future…that would be awful if I couldn’t use them to create with! I’ve never tried needlepoint, too time consuming for me. I like the quick and easy projects too much. :) Cross-stitch is simple and easy enough to do that if you fit in 5 minutes here and there, you will soon have a finished, beautiful piece! All the best to you and your family!
I love the pillows! I like to find usable handicrafts, not something you will throw away later. That looks like a lot of work, though! Great idea.
