Cheap and Easy Nursery Art
Posted in Art, DIY, Kids by evie s. on October 3rd, 2008
On my continuing mission to create a nursery on a budget, I recently purchased a couple bright yellow wooden frames from the dollar store with the intent of using them to frame nursery art. The art I was using were a couple of illustrations from a vintage book on dinosaurs. I loved the colors and the vintage quality of the images and I thought they would fit in perfectly with the nursery colors.

I simply painted the frames white and cut my own matting from illustration board. The book that I cut the illustrations from only cost me about $0.50 and the frames, just $2 for both. The illustration board I had on hand already, so all in all it only cost me $2.50 in materials! I love how they turned out.
