So I’m having a baby soon and I’m on a budget. I really really really wanted to have a sling, especially for when E is a little newborn. I registered for one, but I didn’t get it at my shower, so I decided to just make one. Couldn’t be too hard could it? It wasn’t.
I found this pattern for the Maya Wrap and started gathering the materials I needed. The week I actually decided to make one, I found an awesome King size sheet at an estate sale that I loved the pattern of, so I bought it for $2 bucks. Next I went looking for the rings, which I eventually found at our local craft store. I opted for 2 inch diameter rings because I was using much less fabric for a small size sling.

It took some cutting, sewing a few hems and some stitching to sew it together, but it was SO easy and inexpensive. The materials cost me about $3 and it took about 30 minutes to make. Success!

I need to make one for myself. My miniature Pomeranian always insists on being carried. This would make my life a whole lot easier.
I’m sure your Pomeranian would love it!

Great website you have here but i seem to be having a problem looking at your RSS feed. Everytime i click it it comes up with error 547. It might be my own PC. I have Linux with kaspersky firewall. Im not sure if its enabled. Let me know if anyone else has mentioned any faults or its just me. Im not too good with PCs. I cant see my post after submitting so im not sure if you will see this. Ill bookmark your site and check by in a couple of days for an answer. Please let me know if you know of a way around it
